The La Cienega Valley Association's CAJA DEL RIO AERC ENDURANCE RIDE which took place on April 26-27, 2014, was truly a remarkable event that brought together enthusiasts and participants from all over. The rugged beauty of the landscape served as the perfect backdrop for this endurance ride, challenging both horse and rider to push their limits. The commitment and passion of the organizers were evident in every aspect, from the meticulously designed trails to the thoughtful arrangements for participants and their equine companions.
As riders traversed through the breathtaking terrain, they were not only testing their physical capabilities but also forming a deep connection with the nature around them. The event fostered a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect among participants, reflecting the essence of rogerian essay topics that focus on open dialogue and understanding differing perspectives. In much the same way, riders and their steeds worked in harmony to conquer the challenging course, embodying the principles of empathy and cooperation.
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is partnering with a local non-profit, Listening Horse Therapeutic Riding, as they host a 2-day horseback endurance ride on April 26 and 27 in an effort to raise funds to support their activities. The event will be an AERC (American Endurance Ride Conference) sanctioned event and base camp will be at the Santa Fe Equestrian Center.
Listening Horse Therapeutic Riding offers therapeutic horseback riding to active military, veterans (their spouses and children), at risk youth, and those facing challenges (PTSD, Autism, Down Syndrome, brain injury, grief, substance abuse recovery, spinal cord injury, physical injuries, and cancer treatment and recovery).
