Board Nominations

Two residents, Marizabal Ulibarri and Kathryn Becker were nominated to represent La Cieneguilla on the LCVA Board. The election between the two candidates will be held before the LCVA Board meeting on Monday, June 1 at the La Cienega Community Center. Details on the election time and process will follow soon.

Both Board Members Robert Romero and Mary Winter were elected by ballot of acclamation.

Nearby Developments

There have been a couple of questions about nearby planned and anticipated developments.

The Santa Fe Airport in in the process of creating a new master plan. The master plan process will include an opportunity for public input. The LCVA will provide notices of those opportunities. The LCVA does not know if the expansion includes additional air service or whether it is commercial development and renovating the airport building-complex.

Regarding the development north on 599 where Richard Cook is paying to build an overpass that will access his planned commercial development, That development was approved by the City a few years ago.
