Santa Fe Canyon Ranch

At approximately 9:30pm on Monday night, the County Commission voted 5-0 to remove the remaining 845 acres of Santa Fe Canyon Ranch from the approved master plan and granted the two related variances. LCVA Board member and El Guicu Ditch Association representative JJ Gonzales and I testified in favor of the request. JJ did an excellent job of describing the circumstances and basis for our community support and I described it as a true community success. Our nine year experience with this part of the property has come to a welcomed end. Our community should be proud of our sustained effort to protect this property.

The Event at Santa Fe (At the Downs)

Please don’t forget the dressage and show jumping competitions of “The Event at Santa Fe” this Saturday at The Downs. Dressage is tentatively scheduled to start at 8am and show jumping is tentatively set to start at 10am.

If you aren’t doing anything Thursday morning at 9 you can help set up the dressage rings on the track at The Downs. Please call Deb Normann at 317-696-2256 if you would like to help.

The Flea

This weekend is going to be one of the busiest of the summer at The Flea. Lots of vendors selling antiques, folk and fine art, vintage clothes and jewelry with folks tailgating and everything at special prices. And don’t forget Marguerite who will be at The Flea on Sunday from 10-2 with juicy pears and great tasting peaches.
