The LCVA agenda for Monday’s meeting is below.
Fourth of July Update
The Boys and Girls Club and the City are reconsidering the location for the Fourth of July Fireworks show. They are now discussing holding the event at Santa Fe High. LCVA will keep you posted.
La Bajada Ranch Update
LCVA doesn’t have the details but there is a strong indication that the remaining approximately 900 acres of the Santa Fe Canyon Ranch development (controlled by the Borrego family) is under contract to someone who is interested in maintaining its history as a ranch.
County Code Update
The County Commission has decided to postpone the adoption of the new County Code until December. Over the next several months he Commission is going to hold a series of special Commission meetings throughout the County to gain more community/resident input. LCVA is very supportive of the Commission’s decision.
Recognitions and Thanks
LCVA would like to offer a community thanks to Marc Mras who replaced the Las Estrellas Community notice sign. The new sign is definitely a step up and LCVA is hoping to tap into Marc’s energy and creativity as we look at other signage in the community.
LCVA would also like thank LCVA Board Member Paul Murray for allowing us to use his painting “La Cienega Moon” on our website. Paul’s painting graced the cover of the December issue of Artist Magazine and is another great reason to check out the LCVA website, lcva-nm.org. Check it out.
